Regional Operations Manager - Welfare to Work - City of London, London
1.To play a key role in determining and implementing the regional operational growth strategy by:
*Providing input to the regional business plan.
*Developing strong relationships with the key regional management team and proactively drawing together the functions including business development, account development, specialist development and subcontractor services that will underpin the achievement of branch and field operations targets in the region.
*Liaising with the Regional Development Manager to ensure that development activity is in line with the requirements of employers and that the candidate journey is joined-up and fast-tracked wherever possible from the point of registration to job entry.
*Facilitating access to intelligence and communication relating to branch and field activities to support integration with the Business Development and Regional Account Management functions.
*Facilitating the sharing of information relating to candidate groups and innovative ways of maximising job outcomes throughout field and branch teams across the region.
2.To communicate the regional business plan, providing motivation and support for branch and field operations within the region and leading, directing and managing them to achieve their set targets and objectives.
3.To source, recruit, retain, train, develop and succession plan for operational managers and staff, ensuring that there is always sufficient skilled and experienced resource, and that they are supported, coached and mentored to support them in meeting regional targets and exceeding expectations.
4.To liaise with the Regional Account Managers and ensure that the candidate journey is in line with the employer requirements within the region.
5.To ensure that operational teams understand their objectives and targets, where that fits into the overall Employment Services Strategy and create a commercially focused environment for them to deliver against agreed KPIs in terms of submission and interview ratios, job outcomes, and sustainability, through setting SMART goals and targets, and monitoring performance against these using the competency based framework, appraisal and review process.
6.To implement a performance orientated culture throughout the operations teams, managing relationships with staff, Trades Unions, employers, and referral partners in order to ensure continual focus on commercial and target orientated business operation and using the most appropriate tools to demonstrate and communicate individual performance / under performance.
7.To ensure that the organisation is promoted consistently through branch and field operations, capitalising on both strategic and commercial relationships to enable operational teams to meet their targets and deadlines.
8.To forecast and plan accurately, identifying and mitigating risk and providing an operations business plan with monthly forecasts, weekly figures and statistics, reports and feedback relating to regional performance as required.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS AND/OR BUDGET/REVENUE/COST RESPONSIBILITY
*To provide effective operational plans that enable the region to meet its operational targets.
*To conduct effective sourcing, development and performance management of staff to ensure that field and branch teams meet and exceed set targets in terms of job outcomes and sustained employment.
*To ensure that operational teams operate within quality, contractual and compliance standards consistently throughout the region.
*To ensure that direct reports meet set performance standards.
*To operate within set budget.
